My Role in Honoring the Statess Veterans As an Ameri preserve citizen, I have a role in complying Americas veterans, deceased and living. They ar the fountain I am here today, living in my house, outlet to school, issue to work, going to whatever church I bid to go to, and so on. I feel there are many ways in which I can innocence Americas veterans. Recently my government class make a trip to Washington, D.C. to visit the many historical sites and monuments primed(p) there. I somehow got the chance to be part of a once in a lifetime experience; I got to lay a garland at the Tomb of the stranger Soldier. This to me is the greatest honor I could ever wish for. observation the soldier troop back and forth, guarding the tomb, do me realize how in every important(p) this monument was to him and the other soldiers there. When I walked down those steps and carried the wreath to the stand where a soldier helped me lay it, I was tinge two antithetical emotions. One par t of me was grieving for the mysterious soldiers of past wars, the other part of me felt accomplished. I knew I had made those soldiers idealistic by laying that wreath. I knew I had done something non bothone in our country does. I had reward Americas veterans. My uncle is in the army, and he has been stationed in Texas, Tennessee, Kentucky, Germany, and Georgia.

My family and I have visited all of these places except Texas. Therefore, I have seen many army bases, and all of these bases have different ways of observance deceased veterans. all over Easter break this past derail we went to Fort Stewart in Ge orgia. Their way of honoring the soldiers wh! o have died was unique. They made a hulking walking trail and planted a tree for every soldier who had died from that base. I believe this is by far the outdo idea I have seen because for every life that was interpreted a new one was planted. These soldiers can never be replaced or forgotten, but they seem to roll in the hay on within these trees. I honor Americas veterans every day without even realizing it.
